Our objective is to realize good buildings that are attractive and stimulating both in terms of functionality and appearance. It begins with an open dialogue between commissioning clients, users and advisers; it's the only way to achieve a plan that is supported by everyone. The client brings the requirements and wishes, and the knowledge and ambition of its own organization, while the architect and other advisers contribute expertise and experience, but above all, their talent for setting out concepts that cut across problems.
After a thorough analysis of the programme and location, we make an integral assessment of the opportunities and risks and make a visual representation of them. Together with the client, they are weighed up to discover which aspects are indicative when formulating a definitive vision and concept.
The specifications and processes are often complex and sometimes incompatible interests are involved. We see it as our task to integrate every aspect in a clear, flexible and robust concept. Clear in the arrangement of the programme, with a natural feel to the routing. Flexible to make phasing and changes of function possible. Robust by guaranteeing essential aspects of the vision but at the same time making sure that additional requirements can still be included later.
A clear concept makes it simple to weigh up alternatives carefully at every level in order to maximize comfort, durability and user-friendliness and to minimize investment and lifecycle costs.
